The Storm Events entry for Taylor County describes a supercell that pelted Abilene with hail the size of DVDs, causing some injuries at an outdoor event, and records 12 injuries. NWS San Angelo reported major severe weather events on June 11 (affecting San Angelo) and June 12 (affecting Abilene and Rochelle). Abilene Regional Airport recorded a peak wind gust of 60 mph that day.
